Business Rule

Proper BOM versioning is critical to ensure the correct parts are used in production runs. Using an outdated BOM can lead to incorrect products, scrap, and rework.

Technical Implementation

BOM master data must include 'Version', 'EffectiveStartDate', and 'EffectiveEndDate' fields. Production orders must pull the BOM version that is effective on the planned production date.
